• While this process appears liberatory, people continue to be wary of volunteering their privacy when they are reminded of it (see Facebook “News Feed” incident).
• At the same time, a trend in popular film centers around a nostalgia for Stanlist, centralized political oppression (because of the relative ease of resistance (in other words, how can we resist a panopticon of which we are both subject and master?)).
